'Brokeback Mountain' Gets 8 Oscar Nods - Yahoo! News I don't accept the premise that movies like "Brokeback" are the top rated films in the minds of most Americans. I do wonder - as the moguls of Hollywood become more extreme and push the agenda of the vocal minority, will they continue to isolate themselves from most Americans and in the process, lose their influence in the culture.
